Abstract

The objective of this work is to help the society by providing it with a mobile application "LA2ENEE", which is a tool for helping people to look for lost, stolen, and missing individuals. The users of this application can be classified into two categories, namely Seeker or Finder. The Seeker is someone who is looking for lost, stolen, or missing person. On the other hand, the Finder is someone who finds a lost person and is searching for his family. The application is working as follows: the seeker creates a post and upload a picture of the lost person. The application is trying to match the uploaded picture with the pictures of the found people inside the database of the found people. If a match exists, the application notifies both the seeker and the finder about the match. The application also provides a chat facility between the seeker and the finder to facilitate the communication between them. When somebody finds a lost person, he acts as a finder and upload the picture of the found person. The application extracts a feature vector from the uploaded pictures to save it to the database or for the matching process.
